imo they have already started branching but need to move quicker and engage with india more. trump will flatten china, the 15 trillion the US has gained china has lost.
Xi knows trump is right on trade, the thing is xi will stretch it as its lowering all commodity prices, gold, copper, lith, iron ore, so its in China's benefit to delay it and accum all those commods cheap.
Maybe FMG is waiting on the lith price to fall further along with other companies SP then make a move on one ?
