Rio announcement of a 10% buy back of their issued shares or $3.2 billion. It is funded by disposal of coal assets. It will be interesting to see what impact that has on their share price today and in the short term.
I wish FMG could learn a lesson here, as FMG share price is too cheap. I understand management want to focus on the day to day operations of the business however it should be an important objective of the company to ensure SP doesn't get to ridiculous lows levels. When it does, I believe they should intervene.
