My point was that US steel imports from China are not significant and if they stop all of them, its only 22.6 million tonnes. I'd prefer that Trump doesn't go down a protectionist path, but I can't believe that a reduction of say 35 to 40 MTPA of ore is going to devastate the IO market.
I'm estimating that it'll take 35 to 40 tonnes of IO to make 22.6 tonnes of steel, but I'm no expert in this regard.
