For the record, having tracked the weekly shipments figures released by mysteel, I would find it difficult to see FMG record year on year growth when it releases its report this morning.
however, it appears the derailment at the very end of 2023 significantly affected its Jan numbers and adverse weather kept shipments low throughout much of Feb.
But the shipment figures in March were astronomical. There were some weeks there where it shipped close to 4.5mt to China alone. The shipment run rate for March would be close to its record. so if this is the case, I’ll be very glass half full and look at the momentum going into the end of quarter.
