VDM Group Ltd's Western Australian subsidiary, Wylie & Skene Pty Ltd, has been awarded five new contracts totaling some $60 million.
Three of the contracts awarded to the company come from mining major Rio Tinto Ltd, where Wylie & Skene will design and construct central facilities, an administration building and a warehouse.
These projects are summarised below:
Sino Iron Ore Project Accommodation Village
This project for MCC Mining (Western Australia) Pty Ltd involves the construction of a 600-man accommodation village facility at the Sino Iron Ore Project, Cape Preston, Western Australia. The facility comprises accommodation units, staff canteens, a tavern, a gymnasium and associated facilities for the area. It is expected that the project will be completed by February 2009.
