It's not just the size and quality of a mineral/ore deposit, it's also location. Off the coast of South Oz is one of the worlds largest, highest grade oil deposits, equal to that of the Gulf of Mexico and the Middle East. One of the big majors has recently announce they are walking away from the project due to the inaccessibility.
