Read up on confirmation bias https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias its a wiki explanation of it, need to have an open mind in investing as well all information is important. I did a paper on behavioural bias many moons ago.
Its a risk we need to consider, its all estimates but value of a company is based on profit / future profit. I can't ignore what the MD says after all we can't pick and choose what information we want to accept as correct. Lets even double his estimate its still significant, I believe tin prices will remain high but we need to get them out of the ground and sold to make profit.
