Why would they still be having discussions if Vale are only handing over the $1m? That sounds like a full payout IF they can reach agreement imo. And Tony is a master negotiator (or someone in his team is) based on all the deal making from the last few years with Vale, Xstrata, and smaller tenement acquisitions. They may not reach an agreement which might result in only the extension being paid but the odds would have to be against that outcome imo. Don't want to count chickens but gosh, it's hard not to be excited!
