The fact is that rampant property investment made housing unaffordable along with low wage inflation.
Tax changes have landlords selling up currently. Covid has people looking for people looking outside the city for larger places as they can work from home. There will be some rebalancing in the country.
All brits definitely aspire to own a home, it became unaffordable however - similar to Australia is now.
