evolution means a process whereby life arose from nonliving matter
the mind can become so lost in *THINKING* that it becomes alienated from *LIFE*
let us examine plants. they are living matter. what makes plants living matter is that they grow & they breathe
what is breathing? for plants, it is the intake of co2 and the expulsion of oxygen, which is the very same but opposite activity of the human organism, which is the intake of oxygen & expulsion of Co2
for a human life to exist, i.e., be living, it requires breathing *AIR/WIND* and eating food (*MATTER*). food enters the human body and certain *CHEMICALS* breakdown and combust the food, providing the human body, which is also made of *MATTER*, with physical nutrition & *HEAT*. Without *HEAT*, which is the same as the matter produced by the sun, there can be no life.
in summary, to attempt to distinguish between *LIFE* and *MATTER* is folly because this is very difficult to do
ultimately, life is breath (spirit) and heat (electricity). this is why when a 'person' is clinically dead, they are giving mouth to mouth resuscitation or electrical impulse to resurrect them
*LIFE* comprises of many organisms that obviously cannot *THINK*.
if your mind can *STOP* its thinking, it can become *CONSCIOUS* of its organism, which is simply *MATTER* with *HEAT* with *WIND* flowing in & out of it
John 3:8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.
