"Evolution makes no attempt to explain how the life first started. "
But it's a logical assumption isn't it?
I mean the claim is that 'evolution is real', therefore it MUST have had a beginning.
So it comes down to one of three option (AFAICT)
Either God started it.
Either natural processes started it.
Or E.T.s started it. (but that only removes the dilemma one step).
There's no evidence that natural processes alone could cause life from non-life.
There's NO evidence that E.T's actually exist, let alone started life on Earth.
And there's no DIRECT observation of evolution (BigE evolution) occurring at all anyway regardless of Wether you ignore the problem of origins.
"God created" is currently the best explanation for the totality of creation as we see it, including biology.
It's only a problem for those who can't deal with the existence of God, especially 'that' God. :)
