Economic theory (as taught in universities and high schools) has always mentioned that to re-generate world economies in times of recession / depression, a major conflict in the world (ie: WWI or WW2) was seen as a proven solution.
Economic growth was generated from industry creating weapons, clothing, planes etc.....
I suppose though this was the best stimulus packages the boffins of the day could come up with...
Lets hope this isnt the ultimate stimulus our pollies can come up with....
