To add, often times a new resource has been found that was not considered or assayed in the past. (Cost, non-economic interest, geo models as they stood etc). I believe for eg there was historic drilling in the Julimar region that might have gone to the right path but for not assaying the right elements. Similarly the recent discovery by Rumble is near by previous exploration that made and discarded some lower grade discovery without seeing the regional implications. New thinking, 2 major new domains. (I may be askew on Anne if my facts here but think it’s broadly right).

Then there’s the evolution of exploration technology that leads to a whole new world of possibilities under previously explored ground, especially at depth in the right structures such as margins, transfer zones and sutures.The critique being applied, apart from lacking much substance, is either based in ignorance or wilful misrepresentation of the laborious and difficult task it is to find valuable resources.
