    Not a drama, I wasn't offended ;))
    I realise WA was always fortunate that our house prices were lagging severely until around 2006 and then all hell broke lose. As I said, our Maddington home cost 162k at the end of 2003, and that was 'highish' for that area. Today they are almost double. I recall people in the East selling there 400k renovators delight, coming here to by a more than decent home for 200/250k and pocketing the rest. Those days are long gone. I would hate to be a home buyer starting from scratch these days.
    We can argue all day about 150k being a 'rich' wage but how the heck does the average person afford a home? Some crap statistic came out the other day that the average male wage in WA is 80k or so. Yeah, where? Average more like 55k if you're lucky! Even Col's humble residences are pushing the boundaries of ownership. And when everyone turns to them, they will slowly become out of reach.
