is 20 percent a year possible

I am fairly new to the investment game and I have about $200,000 to invest (money I made from PNA which turned out to be a real treasure trove for me).

If i can make 20% a year for 10 years then I could safely retire (I will be 47) in Thailand where I currently reside (sent here by my company on expat package).

Do you think 20% is a realistic annual return or is that very hard to acheive (the experts seem to say that 10% to 12% is the most you can hope for over a long period).

I think 20% is possible but I would love to hear more experienced peoples opinion. Many thanks in advance.
