Thats on the assumption that the share price will keep dropping and stay under the SPP price for a long time. Maybe it will return to the 21.5c placement price after the SPP is completed.
Even if it doesn’t maybe sells dry up and it will be hard to buy the same amount of shares you could get at SPP price.
if everyone wanted to buy their SPP allotment in the market today they couldn’t because there isn’t that many for sale.
If you don’t participate in SPP you don’t get the 30c options. Not guaranteed to be exercisable of course but still they’re free - nothing wrong with having them.
