Actually not really. Just because something has actually happened I don't assume that it has happened correctly - not when its a matter to do with the stock market any longer. I've had too much experience with the ASX and ASIC now to believe so naively.

I sent the ASX a question about rule 7.2 exception 5 as it specifically related to what was the date of announcement - gave them the company code for CYP - was it when the company first made a relevant announcement - there were arguably 3 on 6th April or was it, as I believe is your view, only when they 'formally' I think you said announced on 19th April. I'm still thinking my answer makes more sense but I hoped to get the ASX's answer. They had the question friday, I hoped for an answer friday, didn't get one, made a call to say the context of the question was such that it kind of mattered to have an answer before 5pm monday, I didn't get one monday either, still haven't.

The question was very specific. If you ring the ASX customer line they'll take a question. They'll refer to compliance office or something - there is bounce back and forth as the person taking your call wants to help but doesn't know enough - this wasn't a complaint it was just a question. But then you get an email with a case number and then its like you've tossed something into a bottomless pit.

If I do get a response I'll share it.
