And just to add, there are many responsibilities for the trustees and it isn't that hard to follow - One of these responsibilities is to invest in line with the SMSF investment strategy which will be looked at by the auditor every year. Minuting investment decisions (good and bad) assists the auditor in signing off the fund as a complying SMSF.
