Meridian's other Australian assets are 294 megawatts of renewable generation capacity and 150MW of renewable development opportunities. Estimate is $1bn to acquire.The head of Telstra Energy is Ben Burge, who used to be the CEO of Powershop from 2012 - 2014. If Telstra is successful, this would be similar to Gail Kelly moving from St George to Westpac and then Westpac buying St George and bringing it under the umbrella.Telstra's stock price has jumped, just on reporting of this potential diversification.
