This may depend on the numbers today and tomorrow. So far even though there are 10/11 new cases today most of them are within the apartment and all are linked. However we have seen from this variant in NSW that it can quickly get away from the supposed "gold standard" contact tracing so the may lock us down. We will probably see increased restrictions today (unless there are more cases we don't know about) and if things get worse tomorrow face a (hopefully) short circuit breaker lockdown.
I am a much bigger fan of doing a hard and fast lockdown even if we potentially not need it, rather than a prolonged multiple month lockdown that Sydney may be facing.
