    Hi @homeales again, thanks for that...

    So it seems that, for the Kosmos PSC at least, the block is divided into separate exploitation areas, that answers that part of the question. With respect to the trigger of the option election, this seems to be “exploitation authorisation”.  So what triggers exploitation authorisation? FID? DoC?

    With respect to the latter I have been looking again at Cairns illustrative forward programmes in their presentations and I don’t find actual mention of the much vaunted “DoC” as a actual key "process step" anywhere (!):

    So, assuming FAR's PSC is similar to Kosmos's, it looks to me more like "FID" as the trigger (post exploitation plan) - and that's way into the future ..... meanwhile FAR will continue to pay 16.7%.
