Presumably a DoC, although not specifically mentioned as a step on Cairn's flowchart, would fit in at the end of the "Commerciality Assessment" phase (accelerated or not).

But what, besides the vesting of FAR management options (if not already exercised under the "potentially economically viable part of Clause 6.4 (a) Option Terms), and progression to the next stage on Cairn's flowchart (define exploitation area), will a formal Declaration of Commerciality trigger if and when it occurs.

Following discussions above, it no longer, in itself, looks like a DoC would be an immediate trigger to apply for "exploitation authorisation" and activate a decision from Petrosen on "back in".

So was it in fact one of the conditions for COP taking over operatorship? Do you have a reference for that?
