I think you have a point with some of that. But……think about this….
You help get a movement going. In this case Renewables and green energy. These go hand in hand with mineral and resource processing.
You innovate (your points above) along the lines of what you next need to achieve. It’s a logistical ladder to climb.
It needs Government assistance. Tbh I would co-opt BHP, Rio and the rest to be part of a new programme of development producing green outputs that are sustainable and world leading. The resource is there.
That leads to proper growth, development and immigration and also opens up the rest of the country (potentially) for living, travel, tourism and hospitality.
For once I agree with Bill Shorten (now I never would have said that).
Let’s give it a chance and not incessantly put it down because it doesn’t fit personal tastes.
I’d also set up a wealth fund and tax accordingly. The majors could win-win with shareholder happiness too.
