    The two main parties have tabled their broadband policies and the three independents have clearly indicated that high speed broadband delivery (and general telecomms) is very high on their agenda for discussions with each party - assuming ongoing vote counting doesn't negate the need to discuss.

    The three broadband options alive are:
    1) Labor's
    2) Coalition's
    3) Somewhere in between

    Finalising 3) will involve discussions with TLS and possibly other telecom companies. You would think the fair course to follow would be to suspend TLS from trading until the market can be properly informed - otherwise the fiends will tittle tattle untruths to suit their trading requirements.

    The key difference between broadband and the mining tax is that the pollies will probably need to engage in discussion with TLS to possibly develop option 3. The mining tax is more of a binary choice - not withstanding the Greens.

    What a mess
