    It's much the same with Santos and Woodside. Both of share prices are less than they were in 2018. Woodside lost over $4 billion in 2020 and Santos also lost money then. If they are making huge profits the money certainly isn't going back to investors as dividends and it isn't showing up on any charts of profits. It is clearly total bs that these companies are making huge profits. Woodside provides 15% of their production for domestic use at just over the production cost and well below the world market price.

    The big profit maker from high coal prices seems to be the Queensland government. It would be understandable if Bowden was demonising the Queensland government but instead he is he unfairly demonising unnamed gas and coal companies.
