It wasn’t my old man that made my life difficult in my formative years, it was my mum. It was extremely difficult to have a mother that went out of her way to bring discomfort to her children.
I am a health freak and have been for decades, it has certainly contributed to a massive improvement in my mental and physical health. No sugar, no processed food, no alcohol, no drugs apart from coffee. Daily exercise, meditation and a good dog. Oh and I lucked out in the wife department, married the nicest, most loving and loyal person I have met.
