Yeah I agree, the shifting geopolitical power structure and the concerns of the huge numbers of people in China and India is one of the greatest reasons for why battery tech should become mainstream for us faster than it would otherwise. Their populations aren't as comfortable with what they have when there is obviously something so much better with renewables, EVs and battery storage. Like you say, it's about immediate health implications, not just the potential to possibly save a few dollars and avoid some thing called climate change that we have our collective heads in the sand about - definitely US and Australia at any rate.
