Do Not, I repeat do not, place too much faith in the advice recieved on HC. As well intended as it may be, most is simply guesswork. ( I have already spotted a couple of misleading comments in the couple of posts on this thread). Remember, "free advice is worth what you pay for it!"
See a properly qualified tax advisor well before June 30 and you will find the couple of hundred bucks will be well spent.
Oh, my free advice is that filing as a "share trader" with the ATO is not simply a case of "that seems like a good idea, let's do it".
