re: how do i offset $45k cap gain? is anyone else My accountant said it was less the number of trades and more the total combined buys and sells during the year. Anything under $20K and they definitely say no. Over $100K makes the ATO happy. Somewhere in the middle is the magic number.
I'm always well over $100K so it isn't an issue for me.
