I used for 2 years after using Commsec for while also. I loved the community feel when I began and the lure of cheaper trades. I think the UX is great but for me the trading limitations (ie trailing stops, chart buying, shorting) is what made me move to IG that offer $5 trade's now also. I still have a lot of my long term investments still in Selfwealth but I rarely use now. For someone starting trading I can see the appeal and why they had so many new users sign up in last few months Also if you are a buy and hold then it's great since IG charge a quarterly fee if you don't trade at least 3 times. Overall the paltform is probably the most user friendly but every trader/ investors has different needs so one doesn't suit all.
