my view is that Aus is far less racist than in the 50/60/70s when we were learning to tolerate European immigrants. "Bloody wogs" have become valued workmates and well-educated and skilled craftspeople..... similar with Mediterranean/Middle East people. then the same with select Asian cultures, but still not Chinese.

but as Noel Pearson pointed out in the recent Boyer Lectures, Aboriginal people have become, and have been over 240 years, Australia's most reviled people.

Here on HC we can see racist attitudes on a daily frequency that I find appalling, but my views are "leftie", or so I'm told.
