"The acreage around Samson's North Dakota Bakken/Three Forks formation acreage has already been proven to provide some of the best production rates in all of North Dakota, but in these tight shale formations with low permiability improved drilling and completion techniques are of the utmost importance and have proven to increase production up to ten fold.

The operator of Samson's Gene 1-22H is Zavanna and. Zavanna is an experienced operator that has been very active this immediate area for a long time. I feel confident Zavanna has developed excellent drilling and completion techniques, but the company that has made a name for their superior completion results in this area of North Dakota is Brigham Exploration.

The timing of the drilling and completion of Samson's Gene 1-22H well could not have been any better.

Brigham Exploration recently drilled and completed a long lateral on their State 36-1 just northwest of Samson's acreage that produced at an IP rate of 3,807 boe/d. Then Brigham participated for a 12.5% GWI in Zavanna's most recent well in this area,the short lateral Bobcat 1-25, that had an IP rate 2,303 boe/d.

Brigham and Zavanna being partners in the drilling and comletion of the Bob Cat 1-25 would have most definitley combined their best knowledge of drilling and completion techinques for this area and they are in all probability the two operators with the most knowledge of this immediate area."
