Polynovo is the only company that has a fully synthetic matrix/scaffold for burns treatment. Other companies that have been awarded BARDA contracts are offering some form of cell therapy (Cytori and Stratatech) that relies on a tissue derived scaffold. The Polynovo approach is novel in that the primary component is the scaffold with skin cells applied later. This should enhance the chance of a contract. If JV is right a merry Christmas awaits. My money is on January 2015
