Thanks for the article TraderReg! Very interesting. An excerpt from the article:
'The latest study – completed with a former R&D specialist at Ausra, Wei Li Cheng, and a US Department of Energy analyst Phil Larochelle...'
If you watched the silly interview between President Obama and Jon Stewart, you would've noticed Prsident Obama (at the end of the interview) talks about the need to focus on Energy Efficiency as one of the next policies to concentrate on going forward. He actually mentions this first, before he mentions the other policies he intends to focus on. The fact that they have a US Department of Energy analyst looking into the viability of renewable Energy replacing baseload capacity is something to take note of.
Brendan Dow spoke of Germany's enthusiasm to Embrace CFU's technology because it can provide a more constant, stable production of electricity (especially if 10,000's units are rolled out across many, many Households). Brendan Dow explained that Germany has aggressively pursued Renewable Energy to a point that it contributes XX% (was it nearly 20%? I'm trying to remember...) of their total electricity production BUT Renewable Energy being as intermittent as it is, their 'baseload' isn't reliable & fluctuates too much. Fuel Cells provide a constant baseload : ) and Germany is looking to Embrace Fuel Cells for this reason!
