Ben has not been above $13 for a long time.
Possible reasons.
The long standing court case by Great Southern shareholders against BEN has been decided in BENs favour
(there are still some issues which some of the plaintiffs are requesting be reviewed, but for practical purposes, even if there are some changes, it will not effect BEN in a major way.)
The Murray Report on banks is due for release and the recommendations are thought to be beneficial for the regional banks and help them to compete more fairly with the big 4
Weekend AFR had article where Macquarie bank had them as a buy
There is the possibility that BEN may merge with one of the other regional banks to create a 5 th major.
