50% rise in the 3-4 weeks since my last post here. What a phenomenal run Bitcoin has had so far. Have to admit, am out now - although I took my profits a little early.
Still has the potential to go much higher, but will sit out this one out now because it's less obvious that we're still just at the start of the bubble. Also, the sky high fees per transaction (hit USD$5 per transaction the other day) scares me a bit - can't achieve mainstream everyday use status with those kinds of fees. imo the first crypto to achieve widespread everyday usage will also become the future 'digital gold', or store of value, and I no longer convinced that bitcoin is guaranteed to be this currency.
Still very interesting times ahead for cryptocurrencies. Nothing on the horizon to indicate any catastrophic crash being imminent. Will be watching this space with interest.
