There are some remarkable long serving CEOs and directors on the asx. Dick Smith,Gerry Hervey to name two that spring to mind.

The issue here could be the structure of the remuneration package itself. The Bitron CEO salary is exclusively salary based (a high portion of salary v incentivised structure). There isn't a lot of incentivised bonuses / performance shares / pay attached to it. So, they get paid regardless of the results / stock performance. Is that the best structure for an asx listed company?

The other issue is since 2018 the directors have sold nearly $900,000 worth of shares on the open market and bough only $130,000 on the open market. This figure doesn't include options, but it quite a big difference between buying and selling (nearly a $800k net difference). Something I hadn't thought about before, but if they truly believed in the science would they be selling?

Foreshadowing responses on the lines of 'they own a lot of shares already' and 'x,y,z had reason to sell because of a, b, c reason'. But is it enough to change the overall picture?
