TB, You said "There has been more underage sex because of Rock and Roll than anything the Church has done."

Putting aside for a moment the seriousness of the subject matter, this is really quite amusing. You're actually proud of making the argument that the Church ISN'T AS BAD as rock and roll.

Actually the church is worse than rock and roll. R&R may be often guilty of consensual sex with the underaged, but the kiddy-fiddlers in cassocks are usually up to far worse. (and with much younger) The church has near perfected the process of institutional denial, shielding the perpetrators, silencing and shaming the victims, non co-operation with authorities, and finally, rarely, issuing a carefully worded 'mea culpa' having cleared it with their lawyers first.

Their responses remind me of a reference I once had to give for an employee. I wrote "This person will, on occasion, tell the truth. But only if cornered like a rat with no other possible option being open to them"
