Rare earths are going to get sexier and sexier as the market cottons on. For example the US Army going down the road of funding a processing plant. Well, just imagine if BPL could produce ore or concentrate that fit the specifications of this or any other processing plant. The AusAmerican's initial testing was that they could spit out 1248ppm concentrate by gravity, magnetic and floatation processing at 68% recovery (page 6 of this). Who knows what the modern Aussie way can get it to without too much hassle. No cost of dealing with radioactives could be big for this.

Dec 11 (Reuters) - The U.S. Army plans to fund construction of rare earths processing facilities, part of an urgent push by Washington to secure domestic supply of the minerals used to make military weapons and electronics, according to a government document seen by Reuters.
The move would mark the first financial investment by the U.S. military into commercial-scale rare earths production since World War Two’s Manhattan Project built the first atomic bomb.
Looking at the price of rare earths... Some of them are US$260,000 per ton.
AusAmerican (ASX:AIW now ASX:WML) announcements... Their 2012 annual report says they were working on it, then the 2013 annual report says they didn't do anything on it. Looks to me like the company decided to go after copper/silver/gold instead. There's no big narrative about feasibility or otherwise, just looks like they got more interested in other things.
In this era the rare earth game could be a bit of a different place - potentially transformative for BPL who genuinely seems to be in the right place at the right time.
