I notice all the defensive sectors are in the green today and the rest in the red so far.
Best description of the global markets I've seen lately is that "it's a bear market on steroids"!
The US election could fire up some much needed confidence in the US public if Obama wins although they say the markets will respond better to a McCain win.
Has anyone listened to Marc Faber's comments on Ben Benanke? He's a character, and when asked for his opinion, said he wouldn't let Benanke be his gardener!
His comments are on a clip on Bloomberg.com
Faber sees a 3-6 month rally ahead before the markets crap themselves again. I like to listen to his views and find his forecasting reasonably accurate, but usually on the pessimistic side.
