Samuels doesnt have an agenda against Caltex - he has an agenda against petrol stations ripping off the consumer and they have ripped us off quite hard, therefore Samuels hard stance as if he didnt there would be an absolute uproar. This is just very bad timing for Caltex. I question their management for going for such an acquisition. ACCC will only allow a new player with $250 mill taking those assets off Mobil. BTW I hold CTX, but seriously this was a stupid proposal.
