I would be lost without the charts. How else would i have known it was a good time to buy BHP @$34 recently? You draw a few lines and certain stocks are predictable.

You only have to glance at some charts to see that there might be an opportunity, if they've been in a lull for a while. Then do a bit of reading to check out the reasons and make your decisions.

Without the chart i would not have recognised that MXR had a long way to go up on Friday before emergency stop. Still did my reading before buying in. Working without charts would be like flying blind and just trusting autopilot.
