Its absurd for the US, Aus and the West generally to
recognise the One China Policy which was voted on
in the early 1970s (incl Aus) and then barrack (outright or defacto)
for an indépendant Taiwan .

If we really believe that Taiwan ought to be independent then
the obvious thing for you and others of a similar belief to do is to
write to our Foreign Minister and request that she rises a motion
in the UN to that extent. That's the democratic way of doing it
rather than warmongering .
