ProjectUlu, could you please provide any proof that China has done ANYTHING to close down producers?
Lynas 16th May 2006 presentation says that "Chinese authorities announce a production quota of 76,000tpa", and
"Chinese production will at best remain at 85,000tpa to 90,000tpa".
As ausheds quotes above (post 9094617) "China’s actual output of rare earth production actually reached total about 130,000 to 150,000 metric tons at last year." That is double what Lynas said their quota would be .....
Nobody has the remotest idea what is really happening in China. You cannot believe a word they say (within 100% error rate, anyway).
