osi. we seemed to be a lot smarter 20 plus years ago when houses that were flood prone were built on stilts. now a lot of these have been knocked down and a low rise house or resort has replaced it or the high set has been built in on the ground floor. also a lot of ground that once soaked up some water has been replaced with tile roofs. concrete or bitumen that just causes massive run off of heavy rain. gotta wonder if the new coal mining standard should be drilling small holes into the ground to extract the energy from the coal or do we continue building large open cut HOLES that tend to fill with water
