I have read several times on this forum the narrative that CUV is thinly traded, and that its price is being manipulated on low volume. From what I can see in daily EOD data, this doesn't appear to be the case. Clinuvel actually has high volumes being traded as a percentage of shares outstanding.
Over the past 12 months I'm seeing an average daily volume of 124,604 shares, from a total of 49.4M shares. This is 0.25% of outstanding shares being traded each day.
For comparison, here are some other ASX stocks. Figures are rounded and approximate, but they should give some perspective:
Stock Shares Outstanding Average Daily Volume (1Y) Average Daily Volume % (1Y) 1 CUV 49,400,000 124,604 0.25 2 CSL 481,700,000 763,205 0.16 3 CBA 1,701,000,000 2,496,024 0.15 4 PME 104,300,000 186,080 0.18 5 TLX 285,100,000 1,165,318 0.41 6 VHT 251,900,000 208,875 0.08
