It is interesting isn't it, because both sides support coal absolutely by shear fact it is our 2nd largest export. Who is going to get up and ban the export of coal with all those jobs and royalties attached? It was over 15% of our total exports in 2016 at $42B, and has grown to $56.5 in 2017. As much as people may not like it we live in a wealthy country which relies on our resources such as iron ore (no 1) and coal (no 2) for jobs and in turn income.
