Tongue in Cheek Suggestion.

Gold is traded in many forms and guises without ever sighting the physical gold never mind taking delivery of it.

My suggestion is this: lets create a market to trade in situ gold.
Imagine the advantages:

1.Never have to risk proving beyond reasonable doubt that the gold exists.
2.No need to mine it. This avoids risk capital.
3.Negligible impact on the environment
4.Not as vulnerable to theft.
5.Beats Fiat currency as a store of wealth.

I'm sure that there are many other advantages.

Then in situ gold at $8 per oz is cheap indeed.
