There needs to be a 2 state solution because there are 2 states!!!. What we have now is Israel forcibly invading Palestinian country. Israel has no intention of ever leaving Gaza.
Without a 2 state solution there can never be peace as one side is continually oppressed.
Penny Wong is absolutely correct...........recognise Palestine as a nation and work to bring both sides to the table.
