cheers OB... the 2 state announcement by Cameron and other global leaders has a valid argument. it enables the removal of Hamas from managing Gaza infrastructure and people. there aren't many services beyond the hospitals and water/gas supplies.
more importantly ti will enable Palestinians to manage their own resources due to the legal status of an independent state/nation. this should reduce the power of Israel to manage vital supplies. it would also be able to call incursions by Israel into Palestinian Territories illegal invasions instead of the police actions that Israel has become habituated to.
Israel has treated the people of Palestine as distinctly lesser people, not equals. recognition of the state will place Palestinians as equals with Israelis.
